Here’s my review of my recent visit to Carnival Pride and my incredible experience onboard. From the moment I stepped onto the ship, I was greeted with warm smiles and a contagious enthusiasm that set the tone for an unforgettable day.

Let me start by raving about the stunning adults-only area called Serenity. This exclusive oasis, reserved for guests aged 21 and above, truly lives up to its name. With impeccable waiter service, a well-stocked bar, a refreshing pool, and a relaxing hot-tub, Serenity is the epitome of tranquillity and luxury. The best part? Serenity is conveniently located at the rear of the Mermaids Grille Lido Restaurant, offering breathtaking views of the ship's surroundings. It's the perfect spot to unwind and soak up the sun! 

One aspect of my trip that truly stood out was the fantastic variety of restaurants available onboard. From casual dining options to gourmet experiences, Carnival Pride had something to satisfy every craving. I was particularly impressed with the Alchemy Bar, where the talented mixologists crafted the most delicious and creative martinis. The BlueIguana Cantina and Tequila Bar were also fantastic choices for those seeking authentic Mexican flavours and refreshing tequila-based beverages.

One of the highlights of my journey was the Hero's Bar. This unique space not only served as a sports bar, where I could catch all the latest action on two massive LED screens, but it also paid tribute to the servicemen and women who have bravely served under the US Flag. The heartfelt gratitude expressed towards these heroes created a truly magical ambiance. Although pictures may not capture its full essence, I can assure you that it was a place filled with immense respect and admiration.

Carnival Pride also had a range of casual dining options that were perfect for a quick bite. The Guy's Burger Joint, with its juicy and flavourful burgers, was a popular choice among passengers. The Deli, Mermaid's Grille Lido Restaurant, and the Pizza corner also served tasty and convenient options for those looking for a quick and satisfying meal.

In terms of entertainment, the Ivory Piano Bar and the Lido Café provided a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. The talented performers and the upbeat music made for an unforgettable day of fun and laughter.

Families are so taken care off on board Pride too! First and foremost, let me begin by raving about the IMAX and 3D theatre. The additional charge of $6 per person is absolutely worth it! The immersive experience leaves you in awe, and it truly feels like you are part of the movie. I highly recommend catching a film there if you ever have the chance. 

Now, let's talk about the Comedy Club. With six shows a night, there is never a dull moment. The talented comedians will have you laughing until your stomach hurts. It was the perfect way to unwind and enjoy some light-hearted humour. The post 9pm adults-only shows are an added bonus, providing a more intimate and exclusive experience

For those who prefer a more sophisticated evening, the Playhouse Productions Theatre was a treat. The shows were top-notch, and the fact that they had two shows a night meant that even if you missed the first one, you still had a chance to catch the second. 

If you're a fan of game shows, Carnival Pride has got you covered! They offer a wide range of exciting game shows for everyone to enjoy. Participate in the Family Feud! It was like being on an actual game show! And let's not forget about Deal or no Deal - the suspense is palpable, and the prizes are fantastic. 

Now, let's move on to the outdoor activities. The Sports Square is a hub of energy and fun. From basketball to mini golf, there was something for everyone. The Carnival Waterworks is a hit with the little ones, and the two large water flumes are an absolute thrill. It's safe to say that you will have a splash-tastic time! Lastly, the Seaside Theatre is the perfect way to wind down in the evenings. From 6pm to midnight, watch movies under the stars. The cozy atmosphere and stunning views makes for a magical experience. 

The younger guests are not forgotten about either, with lots of activities and kids club all on hand!

Youth activities – partnering with Dr Zuss, activities such as deck parties and story time. 

Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast - Pack your imagination, but don’t forget your appetite as the whole family embarks on a breakfast that’s part meal, and part journey into the deliciously whimsical world of Dr. Seuss®.

Sit down to a truly fantastical feast at the Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast with The Cat in the Hat and Friends™. Bright colours and patterns decorate your table, which features fun and unique menus.

Feast! Feast! Feast! Lose yourself exploring a delicious menu where you’ll find “Green Eggs and Ham,” brightly coloured fruit, gravity-defying pancake stacks, funky French toast, “Moose Juice” ‘n’ ”Goose Juice”… and much more. (Classic breakfast offerings are available as well.) Breakfast is also the perfect time to meet and greet the stars of Dr. Seuss — characters will be around for special photo opportunities and fun interactions, making this a meal to remember.

Kids clubs – Camp Ocean. (Included)

The little ones can enjoy the best parts of summer camp, year-round aboard their Carnival cruise. At Camp Ocean kids will have a blast in supervised, age-based groups and give each a cool marine-life label: Penguins (2 to 5 years), Stingrays (6 to 8 years) and Sharks (9 to 11 years). Together with their group they’ll enjoy tons of fun-filled, age-appropriate activities like arts and crafts, songs, games, toys, dancing, movies and video games. When it’s mealtime, kids eat together and get their own menus with back-on-land faves like mac & cheese, chicken nuggets and more. The whole time, our experienced counsellors will be there to make sure everyone in these small groups has an amazing time. Plus, when the sun goes down it’s Night Owls time — fees apply, but kids get to stay up late having fun while their parents also enjoy themselves well into the night. 

Night Owls - Think back — as a kid, was there anything better than times you got to stay up late? Even as an adult, night-time is fun-time, especially with all there is to do on your Carnival cruise. We have the perfect thing for you AND for your kids, and it’s called “Night Owls™"! For a nominal fee, kids 11 and under can fun it up with others their age until as late as 1 a.m. They’ll enjoy music, activities, games and giveaways at supervised parties while you enjoy… whatever it is you do at night these days, all without a worry. (Additional charge)

Circle C – (ages 12-14) - What does the C in Circle “C®” stand for? Well… how about “cruise,” “chill” and “connect”? (Just to name a few, of course.) It’s the onboard spot where teens ages 12 to 14 go to hang out, meet new friends, and enjoy some pretty awesome activities. Like what? Think dance parties, games, outdoor movies and more, some in the exclusive Circle “C” lounge and others around the ship. These are all supervised by the friendly and fun-loving counsellors who make sure teens have the best vacation ever. 

Club O2 – (ages 15-17) - Your parents deserve a nice vacation… but then again, so do you. So let’s let them go do their thing while you do yours. Where to? Club O2®. Hang out doing stuff like watching movies, listening to music from this decade, playing sports and video games, joining karaoke jam sessions… maybe even attending Carnival’s version of prom.

Back to the adults and I also have to rave about the Cloud 9 spa. It was pure bliss! They offer a wide range of treatments, although they do come at an additional cost. But let me tell you, it is totally worth it! Not only that, but the Carnival Pride also boasts a comprehensive gym spread over two floors. And the best part? It's all included! So, even if you indulge in a few too many delicious treats on the ship, you can still work it off in style.

Oh, and speaking of indulgence, let me tell you about the Cheers Drinks packages. They're a game-changer! With this package, you can enjoy up to 15 alcoholic drinks per person per day. It's perfect for those who like to unwind with a cocktail or two. I even included a photo in the album so you can see for yourself. 

I also wanted to mention the Fun Hub app. It's a must-have! Once you have your booking through Carnival Pride, make sure to download it. With the app, you can pre-book spa treatments, excursions, and so much more. It made planning my days on the ship a breeze. Plus, you have the option to pre-book your chosen restaurant for your evening meal. The app will notify you when your table is ready - it's so convenient! 

Overall, my visit to Carnival Pride was an absolute delight. The exceptional service, the mouth-watering cuisine, and the lively entertainment options truly made it a memorable vacation. I cannot wait to plan my own and hopefully your next cruise with Carnival Pride and experience all the wonderful things it has to offer.
